Anyone who says they are arch-enemies is ignorant who knows nothing about somali clan history.
The closest enmity hawiye and dir can get to are the latest clashes between dir biyomaal vs subsubclan of cayr clan.
Or dir qubeys vs subsubsubclan of saleebaan.

But if we talk about dir isaaq and hawiye habargidir there is actually mutual respect. The dir isaaq clan respects Gen.Aideed, however i have not witnessed any respect which hg has for dir isaaq heroes (but they dont slander them either).
Dir isaaq does however believe that hawiye abgaal backstabbed the somali revolution by hijacking the process. They do blame abgaal for that.


I dont think there will be large scale war or clashes between dir isaaq and abgaal waceysle. They live too far from each other. Waceysle dont like to use violence against fellow somalis( yet they use that against jareers). Abgaal waceysle are very peaceful people. Iam sure dir isaaq are also peaceful by nature.


The archenemies of hawiye hg/abgaal is majeerteen.
The real enemy of dir isaaq are the secessionists, awdalites , marexaan and the khatumo faction.


Habaarqabe and hutuking are not dir and hawiye. They are darood trying to make enmity between clans who dont even know each other. Where did they met? One lives in the north, the other in the south. Yaaba is arka?
