Despite being unable to speak the language, being born in the West, living my whole life in a multicultural setting, despite being surrounded by non Somalis most of the day at work and etc, my only friends, almost all aquaintences, are Somali. I have two non Somali friends but they don't count because they speak the language better than me and only chase Somali girls. They are basically Somali

I even like being in the presence of Somali fobs despite the language barrier and my lack of interest of Somali politics/music.

Sometimes I scold at others for not properly integrating into Western society but this is a case of pot calling the kettle black

No, unfortunately. The only Somalis I'm around are family or family friends. Kind of gives one a feeling of disconnect from Somalis in general.
