Time travel will never happen because.......
If it was going to happen, they would be able to come back in time and show us

To be technical,I wouldd say more of “Space-time travel because we have to occupy a prior location in both space and time. Makes more sense that we can’t go back and be private to an exact event in history, as our current presence will either disrupt or change the very constitutive elements of that specific scene. If you put an extra fish in a bowl of water containing other fishes, the extra fish will displace the water,make it arise, thereafter changing the positions of the other fishes relative to one another, meaning that everything will change the moment you enter a scene, irrespective of your subsequent influence upon an event.
Plus you would have to negate what General theory of relativity says because time is flat and forward as space is curved....only reasonable in science fiction
