The somali politician sharif hassan has called his people to adopt a federal system that is based on two regions(bay&bakool) instead of six regions bc the other clans are againist it
He said also two clans from lower shabeele are againist joining them.
He warned from that if any one declaires himself as the president of south-west somalia state he will do the same given an example of what happened to jubbaland project after the leader of raskamboni declaired himself as its president followed by other self-proclaimed presidents
His political opponents adan madoobe and xaabsade are spearheading the 6 region-based southwestsomalia federal state in order to get elected.
The first somali party who called for federalism after the independence was called hizpiaD&M with the slogan south of hiiraan but xamar.
