http://en.wikipedia.orgFrom the OPEC Oil Crisis to 2003, the Saudis had spent at least $87 billion propagating Wahhabism abroad at a rising rate.[26] The bulk of this funding goes towards the construction and operating expenses of mosques, madrasas, and other religious institutions that preach Wahhabism. It also supports imam training; mass media and publishing outlets; distribution of textbooks and other literature; and endowments to universities (in exchange for influence over the appointment of Islamic scholars). Some of the hundreds of thousands of non-Saudis who live in Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf have been influenced by Wahhabism and preach Wahhabism in their home country upon their return. Agencies controlled by the Kingdom's Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Da'wah and Guidance are responsible for outreach to non-Muslim residents and are converting hundreds of non-Muslims into Islam every year

No wonder why many Pakistani, Afqani, Skinies etc have been fed by Saudi backward culture with religious mixture given through a tube device to provide Wahhabism into their stomach.

what a waste of cash.
what influences can Saudi Arabia get from others. they're known as naago on this planet.
hprta I don't even understand...what is the meaning of wahabism? I heard its was a normal ideology till the corrupt Saudis changed the system or am I wrong?

to be honest from what I read...they mixed their culture with the religion.. some wahabist ideologies is what u find in their culture.
Somali's are too great to approve of this method. one of he things they find uncomfortable in is females and women taking charge. that's because the Saudi males themselves act like women, they're too feminine...whereas the Somali society its the women who are in charge . introduce this ideology...would create a severe backlash...we've had the madmullah, we now have godane, we had araweelo therefore I believe another of its kind would emerge.

Le Justicier, Imam of the Sufi Tareeqa, that's amazing news. The sums involved in the Salafi cultural imperialism are staggering.
What baffles me though is this, we all know the Saudi royals are party animals who don't give a squat about Islam, they are notorious for their booze fueled parties in and out of the Hijaz for which planeloads of Russian hookers are flown in. Wikileaks published a cable about the see-no-evil policy of the morality police so far as the royals go from whose palaces their patrols are banned. The richest Saudi billionaire, Prince Khalid al-Waleed is a libertine whose wife appears on Western TV studios without a hijab. So why do these drink sodden whoremongers fund an ideology they obviously resent? What's in it for the camel fockers?

The Wikileaks Cable:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... oyals.html"Behind the facade of Wahhabi conservatism in the streets, the underground nightlife for Jeddah's elite youth is thriving and throbbing. The full range of worldly temptations and vices are available – alcohol, drugs, sex – but strictly behind closed doors," read the cable, which is dated November 18, 2009.
