that parliament looks more legitimate than what they have in mogadishu. somaliland should've and still can take advantage of the turmoil in the south by bring a case to make hargaysa the capital of the somali federal republic and i have no doubts they'll win that case.

Hargeisa does not have the capacity to be the capital city of Somalia. And I doubt they can take advantage of the turmoil in the South. Heck they don't have the capacity to rule areas such as Buuhoodle, Badhan etc.

from a somalinimo standpoint, i think another city in the somali federal republic should be given the privilege to be the capital. either boosaaso, baydhaba, kismaayo or hargaysa. mogadishu has had it's chance.

Nothing Somalinimo about that. Mogadishu is just a piece of land. I don't understand how a piece of land can fail?

The obsession.. You don't have a legitimate parliament or government. Forget about democratic elections like the ones in Somaliland.

Mogadishu doesn't even control 90% of the land that fall under its jurisdiction compared to Hargeysa yet you want to compare the two.

Don't go off-topic this thread is not about Mogadishu or the Somali government. You either respond to the topic or get the fuck out.

:MJ: technically you're part of somalia. until you actually become recognized as a sovereign state, refrain from misleading others, that's against the forum rules.

What is there is misleading about my title. Clearly the report from BBC shows there is turmoil.

Definition of turmoil: a state of great disturbance, confusion, or uncertainty.

Once again the video I posted shows a state of great disturbance, there is feud between the parliament speaker and the second and first co-speakers. Also half of the MPs are against the speaker and have refused any outcome from the speaker. Including the missing MP's.

So please what is so misleading about my title?

HusseinHassan,

What's your connection to my statement?

There's no democracy in Somalia (Raas Caseyr to Raas Kamboni). Somaliland being lumped together with Somalia on paper was not up for discussion in the first place.

you and i both know that, what's on paper tends to be far more important than what's on the ground. if the mogadishu-based mafia play their cards right, they can actually get an international support in labeling the hargaysa-based mafia as terrorist rebels, thus having italian forces come into somalia like the french are doing in the central african republic and carry out mussolini-style whoop ass on you guys. :pac:

Nothing to see here. Mudane Cirro flexing his muscles and cleaning the Kulmiye stooges from the parliament through democratic means.

Definition of turmoil; 1. a state of great commotion, confusion, or disturbance; tumult; agitation; disquiet:
Once again I don't see the turmoil you're talking about. Nor do I see disturbance or confusion. The MPs and the speaker of SL parliament are disagreeing and one of the fundamental principles of democracy is that you have the right to agree or disagree.

Thus your title is misleading.
