The real somali FM and the dam jadid strong man mahamed gacal nuur has announced that his govt has cancelled the talks with somaliland

The talks have been postponed twice from the mogadishu side from dec to jan next year.

NO its not about a new style, I believe this has got to do with somaliland politicians messing with our affaires like faysal waraabe. Guest of the state sahal has warned about this in a recent thread. Nowadays, radio mogadishu has started covering khatumo activities.

There was different opinions inside the govt regarding somaliland. for this new position of mogadishu they gained last year a lot of "manaabir al siyaasiya" and window to the world.

The govt has post-poned the talks twice just bc it was busy with other southren affaires.

I met Adeer Gacal when he came to London. He was busy talking to a few men so i didn't ask anything but i overheard that Xasan Sheekh was strongly against negotiating with Sland because under no circumstances, did he want to be blamed for the balkanisation of Somalia. Dastuurka is just a decoy.

I guess the new govt has a different direction and gacal is close to the new pm. The power is shifting from abdikarim guleed to gacal and farah abdulqadir since the new pm was appointed.

The interior has signed the agreement with somaliland but the parliament has rejected it so the file was left for the aviation minister

But the talks to discontinue is totally a different policy

I guess it become clearer with his last weeks visit to london wich was said it was about somaliland, it come after faysal cali waraabes attacks on the govt and beelaha xamar.

If this news is true which i doubt i want to hear it from the President or the Prime Minister, this has more to do with Somaliland Foreign minister flew to Britain and Norway and told that the talks should be moved to Norway or Britain the Turks facilitating the talks, are not willing to pressure the Somali government to come to the negotiation table as agreed the SL foreign Minister told the Brits and the Norwegians that the talks are not heading any where unless its mediated. This has nothing to do with Faisal waraabe as how sahal insinuated. Somalia wanted to withdraw from the talks they never wanted these talks. But the Europeans initiated these talks. But this good though for the SL government they can say we talked with Somalia but they breach every singed agreement such as the airspace joint control committee agreed on. Once the talks fail the ball is in the court of the so called international community. As Nickolas Kay office is rejected in Somaliland and Flights between Somaliland and Somalia remain on hold. This is good if the news true i thought the talks would fail in the next coming weeks held in Turkey, in lugu kala kaco wabay so dhakhsatay. President rayaale said we should never accept any sort of talks with Somalia unless they have a government and the talks is mediated, Kulmiye tried to use their own islaah groups to warm up to Somalia such as the former SL interior minister nuur caraale duur. Who was a close friend of President hassan of Somalia, this is good news many Somalilanders will be happy and will say to the Kulmiye government told you so such as SNM veteran Muhamamd haashi and former SL foreign minister Edna adan. Even the current SL interior minister never agreed to hold talks with Somalia. But lets wait for an offical statement from Somalia interior Minister guleed, Somaliland was dealing with him and president hassan, i dont know the guy who made this statement. Somaliland Foreign minister will arrive in Hargeisa in 2 hours and will hold a press conference lets wait and see how this story develops
