Should OGs support a six member state in Southern Somalia.
It is a legitimate question considering the only position with real power is the Presidency, and the prime minister now for all intended purposes is a VP position.
It's unlikely a non-Hawiye will lead Somalia again in the next 10-20 years due the demographics of the capital, and the insecurity that prevents the re-settling of former residents.
The OGs have so far treaded well, but the men whose in charge is too slow and is an illiterate. Ghandi, whose wisdom in avoiding a power struggle considering the situation, allowed this illiterate to lead. The OGs should consider joing the May may clans for the following reasons
1-The Cawlyahan live in Bakool and have long history of having prominent members in Somali government hail from that region, it's important they have some representation
2- Any hope of winning an election in futur elections would depend on ability to win over may may MPs and other "DIR" constituents
3- No clear reason why OGs should fear the most hard working constiuency in southern Somalia
5- To break the myth that non-Darood tribes have their best interest in supporting Hawiye.

OG'S should stay where they normally are positioned killi5 and nfd. just because they only occupy a tuulo in southern Somalia doesnt mean that they can dominate Somalia's politics.

Thats logical arguments and besides this six gobol mamul is a somali created solution. No foreigners meddling etc. No state would come close to rival this state and it would dominate the political landsscape of Somalia for ever. It would dictate to Hassan sheikh not the other way around and thats why many fears, including villa Somalia who tried to hijack this process by injecting the corrupt Sharif sakin in to the mix. It failed.
As far as Im aware of beesha Cawlyahan has took part of the conference and supports it.

Sxb beesha Cawlyahan recently had a conference and rejected the baidoa initiative because of pressure from Kismaayo.Substance wrote:Thats logical arguments and besides this six gobol mamul is a somali created solution. The intiative will have to come from Blackie and his men. If the Daarood in the south have any hope of winning the presidency seat, they will have to win over the non-Hawiye tribes, and a Six maamul state would allow this.

OGs already threw their lot with Madoobe, it's a bit too late to support the six state region now, plus Sakiin is attempting to carve out his own empire in Bay and bakool.

Very interesting proposal.
I doubt very much it will fly...J/Land is already up and running.
ps The non hawiya tribes are already witnessing the rapacious nature of hawiya in S. Hoose..S Dhexde & Hiiraan.
Their future survival necessitates political alliances against Hawiya expansionism.

Daarood 'll definetly dominate Somali polaticks when the 4.5 system ends.
Daarood-ku waxeey ka imaanayaan 41 degmo out of the total 84-ka degmo, baarlamaanku half wuxuu noqon
Daarood, that's why aay puntland federal ka u push-gareeyso.

They will be represented as we have represented the minorities in jbland. Accepting a six mamul gobol will only cripple darood as a whole.
