You can have as many foreigners visiting you as you like, but if you don't have a vision of where you want to country to go and a plan and strategy to achieve that vision, you won't get very far domestically and you want be able to create mutually beneficial relationships with other countries.

None of the current Somali leaders/politicians have the plan or vision to eradicate foreign influence or to build strong effective government institutions. They are just running around like headless chicken.

Why do Somali 'TV channels' employ 'newsreaders' who sound/talk like they're constipated and learned to read only yesterday. :snoop:

Aslong as the situation in Somalia gets better day by day I will continue saying that. I will stop saying that if the situation gets worse and worse by day. Then will I get suspicious of the government :|

Alright, let's learn how to build a government, which should take us only another 20 years, while the rest of the world is already 3000 years ahead of us in every single imaginable way. But that's alright, "Rome wasn't built in a day" so everything is okay! :D

That's a good point actually. You don't hear politicians or Somalis in the public eye talking about long term plans, 10/20/30yr plan of where we're going as a country.

Xassan Sheikh talks about the aims of his government and where he wants us to be in 2016 at the end of his term which is the one man one vote. Lakin after that is a wilderness, in terms of vision that is

Beggars can't be choosers. Somalia is not stable and hence its future can be unpredictable. Its wise for the government to have realistic vision. And this current government vision cannot go beyond 2016.
