President in the BBC interview says the government welcomes the Baidoa meeting to start community engagement to build a Federal State. He says his government will support and take leadership role in the conference.

The President adds that Jubba administration is a political reality which the international community and the Somali government recognize. He strongly warns Baidoa conference not to attempt to take that recognition lightly and attempt to claim areas recognized to comprise Jubba maamul.

It is an insult to compare Gedo to Lower Shabelle where they are governor, mayors, can fight, and have numbers and political power.

Gedo is the most single clan dominated region in thr entire south of Nugaal. In fact, if Majeerteen shares with others control of parts of Nugaal and Bari, I think Gedo is the only region in the entire Somakia who is completely control by one sub-clan.

The Governor, deputies, the mayors, the district commissioners...entirely Marehan and there is not a single issue or problem INSIDE the region.

How can you compare that region to Lower Shabelle? Only a delusional person would.

Besides the Cali-Dheere and Garre thing in Ceel-Waaq which was a Kenyan issue, I don't remember a single time Marehan and another clan fought anywhere near Gedo. There is not even thr ocassional bumbing heads. Gedo is politically and militarily 100% Marehan and numerically overwhelmingly Marehan who treat their small diverse neighbors well.
