Somalinimo Test

Ever wonder what exactly is the state of Somalinimo among the average Faarax iyo Xaliimo? Well, there's only one way to find out for sure... and that's through the Somalinimo Test. :geek:

To take the exam, simply fill out the ten short questions below, choosing either the (a) or (b) option. Each option has a secret value of 5 or 10, depending on how consistent it is with Somalinimo. The only exception is one particular option on one particular question; it has a hidden value of 20 since it is the most fundamental criterion of all.

Be sure to answer all of the questions truthfully (i.e. as you really see them rather than how you think others would like you to respond). Some questions may seem simple, while others may perhaps appear a bit more challenging.

When finished, post your selected options in this thread for your total score. If you are too shy or for whatever reason would prefer to do so in private, you can instead PM me your responses. The higher you score overall, the more Somalinimo you possess. There's also a surprise at the end for the highest scorers. ;)

Here we go:

1) How far back can you count your abtirsi?
a) At least five generations
b) At least ten generations

2) Who are ethnic Somalis?
a) Ordinary Sub-Saharan Africans
b) Afro-Asiatic peoples

3) Who would you rather be?
a) Penniless and Somali by blood
b) Wealthy and ajnabi

4) What was the first capital of the Adal Sultanate?
a) Harar
b) Zeila

5) What is your posting style?
a) Shoot from the hip/say whatever comes to mind at the moment
b) Think deeply before responding/often go the extra mile

6) Have you ever publicly revealed the contents of another Snetter's private messages to you?
a) Yes
b) No

7) How often do you visit Somali websites, read Somali news online or email/webchat with other Somalis?
a) Every day
b) A couple of times a week or month

8) How often do you do chores for family members or friends without expecting anything in return?
a) A couple of times a month
a) A couple of times a week

9) In a two versus three pickup game of soccer, which team would you rather be on?
a) The two Faarax/Xaliimo
b) The three Faarax/Xaliimo

10) Why doesn't Somalia have any World Heritage Sites?
a) It has few such potential ancient monuments and structures
b) It never ratified the 1972 World Heritage Convention

@Skippa

You scored 65 out of a possible 110. However, you failed the 20 pointer. That's ok, all things considered.

Soccer=FIFA football :up:

My fellow Somali brother Meyle, it is very unfortunate that you should say that. There is nothing ambiguous about the term Somalinimo, for it simply means, at the essence, the being a Somali.

Brother, ha abaal ka darin, you've got plenty to be proud of in Somalinimo and if only you knew where to look you would realise this soon enough. Your comment suggests not that Somalis have nothing to be proud of, nor that you couldn't find anything in Somalinimo to be proud of, but rather that perhaps you do not know what constitutes Somalinimo and the assets that come with that identity and in which you may take pride. My Somali brother, I will post a lenghty reply to remind you of the assets that come with Somalinimo, that you may take pride in your identity that you cannot escape.

We are overwhelmingly Muslim-Sunni , but that's it tell me one more noteworthy thing associated with Somalis other than War , Famine , piracy and Etc .
