Have you watched Who? I don't know how high I'd rank it, but it's definitely up there. Not a personal #1 tho.
Gotta check out The Prisoner. Sounds mildly interesting. Glad to see some anime on the list, but it's an odd choice they have. NGE probably shouldn't be that high, imo.

I did.. I couldn't get into it....Not entirely sure why, probably had more to do with me than the show itself....It's not a bad show. And I know it's got a huge following outside the UK. But it's essentially a kiddie show in comparison and certainly more fantasy than sci-fi if you ask me. I would love to see the BBC producing some adult, cutting edge sci-fi
