Somalis: A sad state of Affairs

from Dadaab to the IDP camps in Mugadisho, from the Libyan desert to Yemen, our sisters are used, abused and tossed around, while the pockets and bellies of the Warlords in power get fatter and fatter. Children need aid to keep them alive while we're able to grow our own crops to feed Somalis 3 times over.

In 2006 the courts were able establish peace in Mugadisho, which it hasn't enjoyed for 16 years, what does America do, they send in Ethiopia. The same happens with Kismayo but this time it was the Brits who sent the Kenyans. We've become a playing ground for the world, any nation can fish illegally, dump nuclear waste, kidnap our brothers, all the while we compare our penis sizes. Colonisation might have ended but now we're being enslaved.

Nothing will be able to stop this unless we return to Islam, pure Islam. Our nation will never be prosperous again until the needs of the Somali people are considered more important than the desires of foreign powers and that will never happen under a UN backed democracy. However a good leader is, they'll always be subservient to the World superpowers under a democracy.

But from the look of it Somalis haven't learnt anything from history, the burning of a boy by Belgian forces, the illegal fishing of China, the expired food dumped onto us. But hey they're all our allies today. This was the path we chose, as Umar ra said "We were a people who lived in humiliation and then Allah gave us honour through Islam. Accordingly, if we were to seek honour through anything other than Islam, Allah would humiliate us once again.”
