Nobel for literature being announced this week

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - The Swedish Academy is announcing the winner of this year's Nobel Prize in literature on Thursday.

Favorites include Americans Philip Roth and Joyce Carol Oates along with Canadian Margaret Atwood and Nuruddin Farah of Somalia.

Many Nobel observers were surprised the honor was not handed out last week. The rest of this year's Nobel Prizes already have been announced.

I hope he wins. Somalis will have an International renowned person in our midst to be proud of after those Somali hoes Iman and weris!

I hope he wins. He would definately boost our international interaction and many people would be reading our political history and customs.

He was nominated?????????? How surprising!!! How shocking!! How impressive!!!

The irony of ALL this is-- Ogaden--the proverbial lower chaste qabil in our midst with the reputation of reer badiiyeeniimo-- has surpassed us all in the civilisation medium of literature! WOW!!

An Ogaden man wining a nobel or -- 'nominated' for that matter!!

My goodness i dream of the day i win one myself! Oh that will be the day!

PS: Ogadens should be proud today-this is indeed astonishing. Laughing
