Was it a prevalent attire among all Somali women or were they only worn among a certain region?

That's the traditional dress of the Somali women before the Yemeni Dirac proliferated the markets.

and now the taliban tent has taken over the market turning somalia into somalistan

I like how guntiinos are making a comeback, if only to fulfill ceremonial purposes like aroos etc.

Guntiino is actually the traditional dress for all Somalis no matter which region they hail. Whatever name they call, like saddex qayd, garays etc it all comes down to guntiino..I love guntiino..

Every woman back then used to wear it because they had the bodies for it..hadda wey wada qarxeen so only dirac bey gashtaan.

YOu mean after marriage and having the first baby? If so, not all experience that fate my dear.

Yeah processed food and cold weather don't go well with xalimos, stick to the arid country, caano geel and hilib ari.

Guntiino doesn't comply with the dress code of Islam. Somali women should stick to hijab.
