Somalia's Uranium and Yttrium

Post by InoCabdi »

http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=hb ... alia&hl=en
Industry sources say the deposits may exceed a quarter of the world's known reserves of 800,000 tons - making the find in Somalia the largest yet discovered. Moreover, they said, the uranium lies close to the surface and can permit strip-mining techniques which is far less costly than deep-mining.
In addition to uranium, international geologists have also discovered Yttrium, a rare and costly mineral which experts say can sell for six times as much as uranium per pound.

That large Uranium + other huge natural resources and its strategic area is one of the main reason why Somalia is the most fcuked up place.

That is what they like you to believe. Somalis more precisely the few so called leaders who in reality are nothing more than puppets are part of the problem but if you think that's the major obstacle then i don't know what to say to you.

Nothing new here. Biggest uranium deposits are in Galgaduud/Southern Mudug, Bay and outskirts of Mogadishu.

HH, before the civil war, I think every Somali citizen was entitled to serve a mandatory 2 years services in the armed forces or something as a duty to serve the country.
