Access to clean drinking water in rural and urban communities in Eritrea has improved to a total of 85%, according to the Mebrahtu Eyasu, the general director of water resources in the Ministry of Land, Water and Environment.
Don’t know who to believe anymore. Western media makes Eritrea to be a hellhole and dubs it the North Korea of Africa. But Eritrean media shows a peaceful independent nation who is truly starting to find its feet. Need to be inside Eritrea to truly access the situation properly.
Have nothing but absolute respect for Eritreans,

Have nothing bu absolute respect for Eritreans,
Its just western propaganda since Eritrea refused to be a puppet and accept aid. If the western media were honest they will had spend their time on Ethiopia a country which commits genocide in many regions of its land. Plus hundreds of thousands Ethiopians are making taariib to Europe/ Middle East claiming to be eritreans and using " Eritrea is a hell argument " to western immigration authorities.
The Eritreans I've met are against the Govt......very similar to the Iranians.
They both disregard the developments made under the two regimes....and seem to think the West just wanna be their friends.
In reality the West wants to destroy both countries, because like Libya they're setting a good development model which can be easily followed.
The moral of this story is....Say NO! to foreign aid.
Sahal are you listening?
the regime has stuffed up the agriculture and economic program , they need to be more flexible and adaptive in these cases,
a rigid maoist ideological view will get in the way of practical results.
They should allow free trade and let the people natural energy drive the economy, they should keep a tight rein over foriegn involvment though.
They also need to liberalise politically, at least delegate power regionally so that the heavy hand of the center is not felt too much.
right now it is a hell hole in a way, there are dissapearances , too many executions and general fear.
There is no balance of power though and if your millitary commander orders you to do something you have to,
this is why so many eritrean woman run away when they cant take the sexual abuse from their commanders, they end up in refugee boats or prostitutes in dubai, for them they figure its better to make money from their body than getting forced to give it away for free.
If Somalilanders were smart they would have extended economic and military ties with them to balance out the xabashi influence. They could also teach a thing or two to landers in building and financing infrastructure projects without foreign aid.
