but garbaharey is the province capital of gedo and not the capital of all of somalia, by the way xamar was diverse before the war, however this question is to non hawiye.

What I'm trying to make evident is, Xamar is the most diverse city in Somalia regardless of whether you feel a certain way about it. If you don't like it where would it be moved to? There are more darood in Mogadishu than Hawiye in any darood city. Abgaal have always been the majority in Mogadishu, before and after the glorious kacaan, the only reason you're making a point about it now is because the kacaan is gone. Lol besides there are talks about adding more capitals if that will make you feel better.

Also this is a thread on a public forum so what do you mean the question is to non-Hawiye?

simple question

can a d&m or isaaq or daarood born in xamar become the mayor of xamar? but tarzan who is originally from hiiraan but is hawiye is the mayor of xamar.

you cannot compare caabudwaaq/ bosaaso/ kismaayo/ baydhabo to xamar, the rest do not claim to be the capital while xamar does.

capital city= a city that represents the country but does xamar represent all of somalia or just some?

Brother nomand, we must change the capital city from Shisheeye City.
I suggest Hargeisa or Garoowe.

It's always easy to scrutinize others but what about the regions you're from? How can you say we can't compare it to other cities when this very thread is suggestive of relocating the capital city? Can a non-Darood become President in Puntland? Can a non-Darood become President in Jubbaland? It's a dangerous mentality to think your own share is yours but others have to share theirs with you.

a non daarood cannot become president of jubbaland and puntland, but both do not claim to represent all of somalia they just represent those that live within their borders however xamar is suppose to be the capital of all of SOMALIA what part of that don't you understand?

you answered my question by comparing local federal states such as jubbaland and puntland to xamar you confirmed that xamar is just another clan city.

Not all Hawiyes can be mayor of Muqdisho and all other Hawiyes respect that. Why cant you? You have no right to be apart of municipal politics in Xamar. Municipal politics is local.

Talk when a Madhibaan or Dir can become Prez of Puntland or a Geeljecel or Bantu can become Prez of Jubbaland. Those locals can never even become VP or Speaker.

All Somalis are welcome to live and work there. It's their land and capital too. Just butt out from local politics. Go work for the federal government in Xamar if you like. Go aim for presidency.Stay away from local politics.

capital city= foreign and goverment investment why should a group of somalis benefit from it while others are told to get lost?
