They denied the murder of Mohamed Abdi, 25, in Edinburgh in May last year.
It is alleged Mr Abdi, whose father is an Imam at the capital's Central Mosque, was shot with a sub-machine pistol and a revolver.
They are also said to have been involved in the attempted murder of Mohamed Farah and Abdulrakim Abdelrahman during the same incident.
They also face allegations of assault, being concerned in the supply of cocaine and a number of firearms charges.
Lawyers for the six men entered not guilty pleas on their behalf.
Lord Turnbull continued the case for a further hearing next month.
It is expected the trial could last up to eight weeks.
