Being confused for other ethnicities/races

Most times throughout my life I've been confused for being Arab for the longest time as well as Pakistani or Indian. I feel odd when a Arab specifically from Saudi or Jordan swears I am a Arab. I've been around many Arabs I don't interact with them however a few have asked why I disassociate from the Arab community. I laughed and told them I was no Arab and I was pure Somali. Same with the Pakistani I get confused for being Paki which is kind of offensive I think. Besides that I feel as if being mistaken for a non-black group is weird and even my black friends have called me a neglit ( a off colour nigger they say) because I'm not a real "nigga". Pakistanis have confused me for Paki as well as Indians and a few other north Africans. Its interesting to see there facial reaction when I say I am not from there country and I'm Somali.

Your experience isn't unique. Many Somalis get confused for Pakistanis, Indians, Sri Lankans, North Africans, Middle Easterns, etc.

I don't look Somalian.
Reasons why
-facial features
-skin colour
-hair
