my parents and others that migrated in 81... by 82 they fully assimilated. same goes for ppl that came at a similar time.

I know that integrating is not just learning the language and so on.
think about it if they worked full time jobs, would they have time to talk about qabil in cafe's?

How did your parents come here in '81? There was no war in xamar and even somaliland was not fighting with somalia at that time. only reason i can think of is if your parents were seamen since you live in UK.

^^ my parents escaped after constant threats by the military, it wasn't just them but many ppl from the city . my dad was refused to go to uni simply because he was isaaq, no life in Somaliland then.
they went out to search for better life.

like u would know the situation back then in waaqoyi..ppl too busy doing niiko in lido beach.
