Baidoa, Somalia (SG) – On Thursday, a delegation from Somalia federal ministers, AMISOM, UNSOM and IGAD have visited Baidoa to assess the yearlong state building conference which had been going in Baidoa.
The delegation from the government led by the interior and federal minister Abdulah Godah Bare, defense minister Gen Mohamed Hassan Hamud, minister for ports, higher education and trade, Yusuf Badiyow, Duale Aden and Adan Mohamed Nor.
The delegation visited the conference hall and were received by the members of upper house of Southwest State of Somalia, its speaker, politicians, delegates from Bay, Bakool, Gedo, Lower Jubba, Middle Jubba and Lower Shabelle.
The speaker of SWS upper house Malaq Hassan Shure briefed the delegation where did they start the process, the results it achieved so far and the current stage of the conference. Representative from civil societies, women, and clan representative spoke at the meeting.
Minister Godah welcome the warmth reception that his delegation received at Baidoa. He read a message from the president in which he requested the halt of Baidoa conference as his government is to launch an offensive campaign against Al-Shabaab. He acknowledged his government failure of not taking part at the conference and apologized the mistakes his government made.
The delegation were told that the state building process will not stop. Malaq Shure concluded that “one hand they will build their federal state, and the other hand they will fight with Al-Shabab”.
The delegation were handed several reports and letter of approval from interior ministry in which it gave the go-ahead of the South West State of Somalia state building process as well an agreement signed between the government and the elder on 21 September 2013".

In principle, the govt has agreed on the process wich is according to baydhabo a 6 region state building process.

The interior has met the camps but he may reached an understanding with the conference organizers aka 6 region.

As for shabeele, my opinion is that the govt is using that conference for its centralist agenda, by visiting them its gives them more media cover!.

At the end govt is the winner!

This is why the govt is trading on the baydhabo card just to put the fear in your hearts!

Its funny though to see the level of your hypocricy as you care about the govts opinion regarding the baydhabo conference but keep down playing it regarding other regions!!

The govt is investing in the baydhabo card and will prolong it in order to extract the power and rights from jubba,

The finance minister is just waiting to get a new legislations from the parliament so that he can collect the ports revenues according to that act

until this was implemented by jubba, there won't be a true official position from baydhabo

Jubba anderstands this too and that why they said they will not hand over the ports to the govt until the govt implements the administration fully

On the other hand, they made contacts with gedo governor in order to establish the administration before baydhabo reaches this stage.

The Interior ministr has recognized the baydhabo process not any of its camps(3 or 6) by asking them to prolong it.

This is why I call some being faqih xarfi/literary scholar/reader who doesn't get the contents of the text/statement but reads it as it just appears!.
