Emerging books about Somali life. I came across these novels online, about Somali women's lives and loves in America and Canada. What do you think of them ?

Some of the topics addressed in the books are female dominance, male bisexuality, religious conflict, sectarian clashes and social upheavals. Definitely interesting, though not always my cup of tea.

My only concern is that the author, Teejay LeCapois, doesn't appear to be Somali, though he is black and presumably Muslim.

Your thoughts ?
