There is no doubt Somalis a direct descendants of the Pharaohs. We don't need make up yaaqee, our facial features are just as sharp at the above pharaoh.

well considering the Ancient Egyptians are our cousins, it shouldn't be surprising.

we, the Oromo, Afar, and other cushtic tribes are the true descendants of Ancient Egypt. the nilotes like the Maasai are descended from the Nubians.

some of the oromo tribes like the Borana and the Afar are pretty much Somali outside of slight differences in language. We look the same, dress the same, have the same culture, etc.

If you take out all modern influences (post-1900 european colonialism and arab cultural infiltration), there would be no difference in these peoples. I bet if I dropped you in 1800 among Somali nomads, Borana nomads, and Afar nomads, you would not be able to tell the difference without language.

@ MaliPrince

Those dudes are actually all Rahanweyn/Garre (see here). That's their distinct hairstyle. It's called guud weyne ("big top"). They use ghee to keep the hair in place... sorta like a gel. It doesn't naturally grow that way. They also sometimes add charcoal to further darken it.

The jileec northern nomads have a completely different traditional hairstyle. Like the Somalis below:

Image

This is an old hairstyle. There is rock art in northern Somalia depicting figures with their long hair down in a similar style:
"There are about eight–ten human figures visible. In addition, places where the actual paint has come off or faded, there are the worn away figures still visible on the rock. Scenes with human figures are dominated by herds of wild animals and hunters in action with bows and arrows. There are at least four hunting scenes with four hunters each holding what appear to be bow and arrows (see Fig. 4). One depicts a male hunter with bow and arrow, who seems to be wearing his hair down with headgear on top of the head. He is surrounded by two dogs and at least one antelope (see Fig. 5)."

Probably not the direct descendants. But close relatives, certainly.

The physical/skeletal structure of unmixed Somalis is similar to that of both the Pre-dynastic and Late Dynastic Ancient Egyptians:

There also linguistic and cultural similarities. The extinct Ancient Egyptian language was an Afro-Asiatic/Hamito-Semitic language like Af-Soomaali.

Correction, they were native Africans. You don't need to add Black into it, as native Africans have diverse skin tone. :|

Modern science has proved Tutankhamen is related to Europeans, so who is correct?
