if AMISOM mission was changed into a UN mission, the commenders can be from turkey, egypty, asians, UK, EU, US, and others
its expected tht turkish role to get bigger and involve in the security sector within/by the end of this year, alot of international agenda are on the table!

Somalia doesn't need to go from Amisom baby sitters to UN babysitters.
What the country needs is it's own indigenous trained security personnel.

What does a man coming from Istanbul or London know about policing Mogadishu?
The only way to improve security is to increase the capacity and effectiveness of our own people.

This obsession with aid and foreigners need to stop.

Somalia needs help with its own forces. I welcome the UN to train our own troops, I welcome any country that give us weapons and help us train our own troops. We do not need any more foreign troops.

the somali decision is a hostage for these african countries-AMISOM/IGAD- so the UN the better.

i have wrote about IGAD taking advantage of the on going operations-in the thread IGAD-govt conflict is back- where they suggested some ideas for the liberated regions-post liberation admins-

AMISOM was so confused between the govt and IGAD positions whether that they should carry the IGAD plan alongside with their operations or have to listen to the gvt and go ahead without carrying plans as their mandate states but basically as these IGAD countries are playing the biggest role in the offensive, the govt has to sort out with them and we have seen what was reached in addis days ago about their "assistance" role!

once you change the mission into a UN mission, the decisions will be made in new york rather then in addis.!

And who will train the Somali's back home?
Who fill fund their training?
It's not very simple.

Once a beggar, always a beggar. These guys are like illegitimate children looking for a father to babysit them. Waa waa UN waa waa AMISOM waa waa Turkey. They are incapable of thinking for themselves and taking responsibility.
