That's nonverbal clues indicating mental discomfort/nervousness.

That's a cropped image. You'll notice that one of the delegates is actually busy taking notes.

Image

On his previous trip to Japan, you can clearly see the president is reading from his notes.

Image

This is a photo of John Kerry and a US delegation without any notes, meeting with the Russian foreign minister.

Image

You see, the Somali delegates take notes when they need to and simply don't when they do not need to. Not having a notebook in front of you during a high level meeting simply means you do not require it at that moment.

There is nothing humorous, sad or embarrassing in that picture. I can't believe I'm explaining this :snoop:

^ what is more embarrassing than knowing the sole reason those guys are there is to beg? And that that's all they'll have to offer for the foreseeable future?

Why? Countless countries around the world borrow money or sell bonds for financial aid, including G8 member states. It's a globalised society. Asking for financial aid is normal, it's expected...especially considering your country is emerging from instability.

Arabman, I don't mind constructive criticism but not this

Word up, you speak sense. Too much melodrama among Somalis about current affairs and not enough solutions.
