Our kids are losing mothers tongue...

This is why I speak only Somali at home...I'm doing my part in training...my child will be fluent in Somali and Arabic(for Quran, deen purposes etc)

Blame the parents. I have cousins who barely know any somali. even this xabashi guy i know speaks better somali than them.

You're overgeneralizing. There are such Polish girls who no longer speak Polish, and such Somalis girls who speak Somali. You can't sum up an entire people from a few observations.

the U is better than the US, the somali community is stronger and there is this feeling among the younger generation that speaking somali is cool.

It's much worse in the younger generation. Recently a little kid (6/7 years) came to our house and i struggled to get a word of Somali out of him. I'm sure he speaks it with his mom & dad but he just kept replying back in english.
