Banning Universal TV was legitimate.

Post by KyrieJama »

The same TV channel that is using the 'victim card', as a besieged media agency, aired this last night

Is Faliyaha Qaranka supposed to be the lame Somali version of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart?

Somalis are split on this sort of programming at this juncture, some say we need to lighten up, and others are disgusted.

I personally believe Somali people need reconciliation, and the Universal TV staff are wrong to air this sort of humor.

What do you guys think?

Making fun of car accident and calling the minister who wasn't even driving a drunk its classless and I don't see the humors here at all. In the other hand this is a good news there was some elements pi of dalaaliin who were trying to cox and cajole the government to have this tv back for the 3rd time and this latest distasteful episode will ceal their fate for ever, let faysal bacaaaac do a biger bacaac now.

Banning the media is unacceptable under most circumstances. This one wasn't even close.
But you right that tasteless comedy shouldn't and must not affect reconciliation.

Reer SL, banning the media won't help your recognition chances, i'll promise you that.

I dont believe you are in a position to give lectures about freedom of speach and democracy. What this so called Channel has done is not only tasteless but also offensive to the people and their families who are involved in the accident. You will be crying if HCTV or SNTV or Star tv made jokes about the suicide attacks in mogadisho and somalia.

Secondly this type of behavior is not part of somali cultrue, it is western culture were grown men insult others on media outlets and idiotic audiance laugh at them. This is pure and simple fadeexaad which should be discouraged by all somalis.

Thirdly the fact that they said sakhraan, about a respectable muslim man is just out of the line.

I can't debate people (multinicker) with cognitive dissonance. Plain simple. Your father and yourself was born in Somalia. You are Somali.

Banning the media is unacceptable. End of story. No excuses.

I agree they are displaying poor ethics, which is rampant in Somali media outlets. We need social and political reconciliation, not political comedy and satire. This was a cheap low blow.

Cukuse should sue them for defamation in Britain. The banaadiri buffoons are based in Britain. The UK has stringent libel and slander laws.

He is arrogant. Ignorance can be overcome by education, but arrogance is more difficult to combat.

That's in very bad taste indeed
It's OK to joke about an accident where there was no death or serious injuries Laakiin
somebody lost a loved one here, how is that course for a parody.
