They're animals, but the girl knows they are animals so why did she wear that?

Anaas ta'theer wayata'thur. The same westerners who are dismayed by this will tommorow make outrages at a Muslim woman dressing however she wants in their streets. It seems there is no universal code for women.

The Egyptian men are jeering because she is being foreign to them. The western men will jeer because the Muslimah is being foreign to them too. Why should one be right and the other wrong? If we are to determine what is correct, then how is it that a woman who chooses to cover up be blamed for it whilst the woman who walks half naked be given complete vindication?

She wanted to prove a point and she did it. Thats all she cares about.

Marques: You do realize women who dress "conservatively" here are viewed as dressing scandalous in other parts of the world. I had a friend go to Hargeysa and was told wa qaawan tahay cause her cabaayad was too "tight" and she refused to wear a gabasaar.

Lil, dee maxaan sameynaa haday dadku kaa diidaan saa dharka u xeratid...people will do everything to protect their culture, of which dress code is a crucial part of; it is a basic human trait. Whether you're in London, Gabiley, Cairo etc they see change in that aspect as something corruptive and unbecoming.

Why do you make it like it doesn't happen in America? Eventhough you and most American boys/men are desensitized to provocatively dressed girls/women, sexual harassment to such girls/women is a daily occurrence at school, work and almost everywhere.

There are countless articles by fashion experts who advise Western women to dress modestly, so to avoid sexual harassment or even rape, because studies have shown a direct link between clothing and such incidents. A Canadian police officer, in addressing law students, told the truth:
"Women could avoid sexual assault by not dressing like sluts." But was forced to apologize 'cause it isn't politically correct.

However, many commentators of the above link agree with the officer.
