The one place Somalis are doing extremely well
Fort McMurray, Alberta.
I've lost count the amount of Somalis who have done wonders with self employment (cleaning, carpentry, snow removal). Their employees are primarily Xabashi foreign workers too.
Even the guys without businesses (majority) are doing really well and all work for Suncor, Statoil, Syncrude, Shell. Anywhere from $30-40 per hour (12 hr shifts) welding, pipefitting, electrician, etc with other companies. Many are also drivers for the oil companies, usually the much older Somalis in their 40s and 50s. Some are safety inspectors/watch but make less
Honestly leaving Ontario for Alberta is the best thing Somalis have done. There is absolutely no poverty among the community. I honestly think we come 2nd place after the cadaans. Edmonton is a different story.

Somali unemployment is basically nil and the average Somali is making very good income. I don't think another place like that exists.
I saw a young Somali fella ordering his half a dozen Xabashi cleaners around and I felt very happy. He was in his pick up truck warming himself while his workers were out freezing. I just stood and watched. I saw they were depressed. I saw it as payback for AMISOM. May not be alot but when I saw that, I felt so patriotic. My uncle also has a few Xabashi workers and he yells at them over the phone treating them like dirt. I saw that as partial payback for what Meles Zenawi did to my people

Re: The one place Somalis are doing extremely well
terrible business practice, there is nothing joyous about seeing a grown person getting yelled at Xabashi or not. I got people working under me that I'm responsible for, I never allowed anyone to raise their voice at me; I assume most Somalis are like that? then you doing the yelling is hypocritical no?AbdiJohnson wrote:Somali unemployment is basically nil and the average Somali is making very good income. This fellow tries to project an image of an "enlightened" "liberal" Somali (whatever the fuck that is ) Yet here he is ululating at the prospect of subjugating a less fortunate fellow human being.Just because that human being happens to be an Habashi.
