High School Principles Fight Over Prostitute in Mombasa

Post by knowthyself »

I don't know what is funnier, that African teachers should behave so unprofessionally, if yet so reassuringly African like, or the raucous style in which this story is reported by African papers:

TWO SCHOOL PRINCIPALS AT THE RECENTLY CONCLUDED HEAD TEACHERS’ ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN MOMBASA FOUGHT OVER A PROSTITUTE AT A POPULAR NIGHTSPOT CAUSING A STANDOFF THAT LASTED ALMOST HALF AN HOUR.

The head teachers, after what seemed like a long day characterised with boring presentations and speeches, had chosen to shoot the breeze as they blew up their per diem on drinks at a night club. The club, popular among international and local tourists, is infamous for brazen prostitutes who patronise it daily.

After a few hours of quaffing beer and entertaining themselves, some of the head teachers who had thronged the spot, began staggering away in trickles, each with a lady of the night in tow. The few who remained continued sipping the frothy contents of the brown bottle, not knowing that it would be a catalyst for an embarrassing scene moments later.

At midnight, matters boiled over when one of the teachers waddled clumsily towards a curvaceous light skinned wench who looked desperate for any ‘willing buyer’. No sooner had he established contact than another equally inebriated teacher, who had been drooling from his corner all along but had chickened out on making a move, sauntered over and started making a sales pitch

With each trying to outsmart the other in arresting the prostitute’s attention, the argument rapidly degenerated into a shouting match with everyone pledging what he was willing to part with as she calmly assessed the two.

“Look, I am giving you Sh1,000.”

“Rubbish. Sh2,000…”

“Bulls**t. Five…” the men kept shouting their bids, much to the amusement of broke patrons at the club. “Come on, Sh5,000 is what a mzungu would spend on my drinks alone,” the sly operator chided the pair as she rolled her eyes seductively.

With the bidding up, one of the teachers got personal, accusing his colleague of being broke since the locality in which he taught was so remote that the only way he could afford such an expensive woman was by raiding school coffers.

The accused didn’t take that kindly and quickly unleashed a punch that was clearly not from a novice, despite the copious amounts of alcohol he had consumed and his swaying stance. His opponent, never mind that he was struggling to maintain balance on the tiled slippery floor, managed to respond with a relatively decent and powerful uppercut.

The few teachers and patrons present, in their attempts to separate the two brawlers, got punched and within minutes, what should have been a minor argument had quickly degenerated into full-blown combat. They took sides and, like students in a football riot between two schools, sent punches, chairs and bottles flying all over the place.

The next day, our mole tells us, the saga was discussed, albeit in hushed tones, among a few chuckling school principals during the next morning’s session.
