The Ethiopians captured Goldogob and Balambale in 1982 attack and Siad Barre could not expel ethiopians from these towns.

http://lcweb2.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/r?f ... ID+et0186)
Until late 1983, there were numerous clashes between Ethiopian and Somali units, especially near Balumbale and in the northwest around Hargeysa. However, the Somali forces were unable to dislodge the Ethiopians from Balumbale and Galdogob.
Perhaps Mengistu and Yusuf could not topple Siad Barre in 1982 but they captured part of Somalia in 1982 and Siad Barre could not recover the lost territories.

Tanker, show me the link of Universal TV about the ethiopian invasion in 1982.

I dont have any mobil.

But Siad Barre lost several towns in 1982, I think the Ethiopian invasion of 1982 was stalemate because Somalia showed Ethiopians that conquering all Somalia was a difficult task, because Siad Barre had EE.UU support but Ethiopia captured two somali towns and Siad Barre could never recapture them.

If you dont agree with my standpoint I would like to know your point of view.

Show me the video of Universal Tv.

This article does not agree with your standpoint.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethio-Somali_War
From October 1977 until January 1978, the SNA-WSLF forces attempted to capture Harar, where 40,000 Ethiopians had regrouped and re-armed with Soviet-supplied artillery and armor; backed by 1500 Soviet "advisors" and 11,000 Cuban soldiers, they engaged the attackers in vicious fighting. Though the Somali forces reached the city outskirts by November, they were too exhausted to take the city and eventually had to withdraw to await the Ethiopian counterattack.

The expected Ethiopian-Cuban attack occurred in early February; however, it was accompanied by a second attack that the Somalis did not expect. A column of Ethiopian and Cuban troops crossed northeast into the highlands between Jijiga and the border with Somalia, bypassing the SNA-WSLF force defending the Marda Pass. Mil Mi-6 helicopters airlifted Cuban BMD-1 and ASU-57 armored vehicles behind enemy lines. The attackers were thus able to assault from two directions in a "pincer" action, allowing the re-capture of Jijiga in only two days while killing 3,000 defenders. The Somali defense collapsed and every major Ethiopian town was recaptured in the following weeks. Recognizing that his position was untenable, Siad Barre ordered the SNA to retreat back into Somalia on 9 March 1978, although Rene LaFort claims that the Somalis, having foreseen the inevitable, had already withdrawn their heavy weapons. The last significant Somali unit left Ethiopia on 15 March 1978, marking the end of the war.

Now is your turn to show me sources which prove Cubans didnt win Ogaden War.I will be waiting for the sources until 2030.

The Ethiopians and Kulmis (Abdullahi Yusuf/SSDF) killed a lot of my extended uncles that year in Balanbale (the town my dsd's family is from). They went down fighting like men.

They also took over Goldogob a little to the north.

Though they retreated after Somalia's heavy mobilization, the Ethiopians still claimed Balanbale and Goldogob as part of their territory until 1988 when Menguste and Barre signed the peace accord.
