Do all baatis shrink? macawiis?

Or is it a quality thing? Or is it how you wash it?
One time I put some in a dryer and they shrunk up to just under the knee
But seriously though, what's the deal?
I put macawiis in there but I've never paid attention to it one way or the other, I just assume they're made from the same material.

Yes according to google, you're not supposed to wash cotton in hot water. Now it all adds up

am not sure if you are referring to the men's macawiis
if so, no macawiis doesn't shrink.
