Metamorphosis

Through life every thing and everyone goes through a metamorphosis. Some times it is external, and other times it is internal.

External change-
-Events/circumstances dictate for you to change

Internal change-
- You are the impetus to your change, you are the driving force

Now, I'm not talking about things out of your control, but when you want a change. Are you the type of person to brew on it, and then change, or the type to brew on it and then let things to happen so that you have no choice but to change. Or are you the type to say, I'm going to change now, and then move forward on your change? How do you deal with change in your life? And why do you think you react to change the way you do?

Change is natural. Just let things take their tender time i suppose.

Q, do you ever recall being a child and happily assuming you'd never grow out of some things? Like sweets, game consoles etc I sometimes wonder in astonishment and amusement how i just completely lost interest in things...

I can deal very well with change, I think it's because I'm optimistic.

If I am actually going to change something and I know I'm going to I let it brew quietly until I find the right opportunity to act on my decision. I have two categories, the talking myself out of it and the talking myself into it. The former is usually a shorter process.

You think brewing is a mostly positive thing or negative?

Most people think I'm impulsive because a lot of the brewing is internal and they weren't involved in the discussion/arguments.

As for the brewing I think it's a good thing because you give yourself the time and if you are really not sure about something you then share it with others. I've started to realise that the things I discuss are what I'm least certain about therefore least likely to do.

I can't think of anything that I regret, part of brewing is being honest about worst case scenarios and your ability to accept and cope if things don't pan out.

Whenever I want to change, I try to make sure something forces me to do it because I can never do it on my own.

For instance, to quit shisha, I ran up $100s of dollars worth of tabs and went ghost. There were only 2 spots I was comfortable in. I understood that I had lost two "acquaintances" (owners) but whatever. I had to think of my health

it shouldn't be, I mean there are only so many different ways to go about things.

I also only seeek advice when I'm seeking certainty on an issue. I don't remember a time where I have been given advice to go the way I want already leaning towards. It's funny cuz the people I'm going to get annoyed, they are always like "it seems like you already made up your mind" they don't quite understand what I'm really asking is "do you agree with me" not "tell me what to do".

I have learnt to take advice though, so I ask my mother's opinion only when I don't have a preference and don't mind taking said advice.


A capricorn, very very different. So star signs are rubbish or like you said there is only ever a very limited pool of options so we just both happen to be logical. I can live with that.

I let the idea marinate in my mind then act on it if I think it's worth it.

Positive change comes relatively elementary for me in growth and development, my character is to question everything before i let it happen to me and i permit it to happen very steady therefore when its time to change its not so much of a grapple some people go through.

That said, if i need to change or move away from something i have invested in devotedly in the emotional sense then i find this the hardest.

All life forms are creatures of great polarities, we may or may not want to change, our bodies and brains will carry on. Personally change comes natural to me. It's only with hindsight I can see how far I've come along.

I plan a LOT. However, I can be either impulsive or very carefully ponder over the issue that I want to leap into, depending on how wide-reaching its impact is.

Also, seeking advice from people around you (esp Ahlul Dhikr) is part of Qur'aan ("fas'aluu ahlal dhikri in kuntum laa taclamuun") and Sunnah (Hadith - paraphrasing - He who seeks the guidance of Allah (in the form of Istikhaara) and of the people (in form of Shoura) does not fail).
