Somali male murdered in Southeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Columbus Police are investigating a murder, after a man’s body was discovered near a southeast Columbus apartment complex.

Officers say a man mowing his lawn on Watkins Road came across the body in a wooded area.

"He's been there a couple of weeks from what they say. He may be in his 40's (from) what I could tell," said Randy Jackson, who discovered the body.

Police identified the man as 44-year-old Mohammad Hossain.

The Franklin County Coroner determined Hossain had been shot.

There is no word on a suspect.
