Can you deny yourself something you want?

I can argue to myself why it's infact something I shouldn't want and then possibly stop wanting it so there's no denying involved.

But if I want it and the arguments against it are insufficient I can't just acknowledge that I want it and then accept that I can't have it.

But if it's not necessarily a sin (or if it's a grey area ) then there's no reason why I shouldn't necessarily want it and if all the reasons against are insufficient, then Ilahey amarkiis I don't have it in me to cadaan myself.


Like hada there is something I really want, like really really want and I've been arguing with myself for the past couple of months. I am not going to go out to look for it but next time the opportunity presents itself I have given myself the okay. Break a leg, waa la kaba. 2 months of torturing myself is more than enough.
