A few decades ago it was unheard of for a white rich man to be treated this way because of his personal views. Oh how the times have changed.

Yeah, you can't racist shit if you hold some kind of position without getting heat. The NBA organization is run by a small wealthy white group, and so it shows how they are willing to throw the owner under the bus. Blacks might be the majority players, but they wouldn't stop playing if nothing was done. Also it is whites who bring in the revenues, as they are the majority viewers and go to games.Lillaahiya wrote:Blacks are protected in AmericaSince when did the NBA become a microcosm of American society? Naw boo. Blacks make up close to 80% of current NBA players. If the organization they represent and sustain don't have their collective interests at heart than they're in the wrong profession. Let's not even bring up the endorsement companies that make millions off the players as well.
no. you just can't be overt about it. that white-mexican killed that black kid in florida a year ago and got off for nothing. black men are given longer sentences for the same crimes as whites, etc. america is very racist. the only type of racism they won't accept is the overt in your face calling someone a bad name. which IMO is the least significant.Perfect_Order wrote:That is blacks and Jews. They are protected in America. The NBA league had banned for life the owner of the LA Clippers to do anything with the NBA. That means he can't go to games, board meetings, etc. He has to effectively sell the team worth about 700 million dollars.

this was all about money. the guy Silver admitted today he's been friends with this guy for 20 years. the guy has had multiple lawsuit brought against him for racism. they all knew what he was. they just never had a problem with it till it affect their money.Lillaahiya wrote:In the age of social media, the NBA couldn't afford to NOT do anything about Sterling. As for not playing, apparently the Clippers almost didn't play, so who knows? Maybe they would've taken a stand later on.
That's terrible bro. Carabta have to change thathyperactive wrote:lucky "us" we don't have to be politically correct. you can be publicly racist.....not that I agree.
