Kenya people/opposition should demand withdraw from Somalia

Post by The`Republic »

The Kenyan people and opposition should force a withdraw of Kenyan forces from Somalia and should demand that Kenya take up its political neutrality in Somalia once again.

For 20 years, while militants and nationalists targeted Ethiopia for its blatant interference of Somalia (Al Itihad bombed Addis Ababa in the 90's leading to the Ethiopian invasion of the Gedo region in 1996 and 1998 and used to plan assasinations of Ethiopian leaders)---in that entire time Kenya was the neutral darling.

Every Somalia from every faction---Islamist or Secular, tribalist or nationalist---respected, appreciated, and hailed Kenya has a benevolent neighbor who had taken in so much Somali refugees and always washed it's hands from interference in the dirty civil war.

I remember realizing the stature of Kenya in the Somali psyche when Al Shabaab and their transnational mindedness almost pleaded with Kenya seemingly being torn that they will now be forced into something that would be hard for them to stomach, i.e consider Kenya an enemy and therefore target them.

The Kenyans, not desirous of attempting to control the three regions neighboring them (Gedo, Lower Jubba, and Middle Jubba) into a Jubbaland proxy attacked. They didn't just fight Shabaab, but also blatantly attacked the dignity and sovereignty of Somalia through the patronship of the warlord Ahmed Madoobe.

Today Kenya is the most hated country by majority of Somalis.

Nationalists and terrorists alike hate them.

Hardly a day goes by that Kenya doesn't see a terrorist attack.

There was a terrorist attack today.

It's tourism industry, so vital to its economy, has lost so much money and is facing an existential threat.

Kenya has not reaped much from Jubbaland, because the entire country is aware of its aim and will remedy the situation whenever KDF troops withdraw; whether today or twenty years from now.

Kenya's people and its opposition should demand the end of Kenya's military and political interference in Somalia. Kenya has received nothing, but a migraine just getting stronger.

I agree, Uhuru Kenyatta and his groupies have began something they cannot end. They are stuck in a mud, they thought they could take advantage of the dire situation in Somalia but all they are doing is putting their country on the chopping board.

I remember last year how the Kenyan troops in Kismaayo had told the defence minister, finance minister and another minister to turn back to Mogadishu like they own Kismaayo. They have indeed angered the Somali with their divide conquer action.

The`Republic wrote:The Republic of Kenya has started the annexation of lost territory of Jubbaland. They have already entered the Lower Jubba region and now the Republic has been welcomed into the Gedo region through Beled-Xaawo and Ceel-waaq. The first steps to the realization of the dream has started. I wish this leads to the Republic of Kenya putting forward an official claim to its long lost territory.

Ciidamada dowladda Kenya oo soo buux dhaafiyay Ceel-waaq

Ceel-waaq: (Sh. M. Network)- Ciidamo aad u hubaysan oo Kenyaati ah ayaa saacadihii u dambeeyay waxa soo galeen gudaha degmada Ceel-waaq ee gobolka Gedo, iyadoo la sheegay in Ciidamadaasi ay wataan diyaarado dagaal iyo gawaari gaashaaman.

Wararka ka imaanaya degmada Ceel-waaq ee gobolka Gedo ayaa waxa ay sheegayaan in saacadihii u dambeeyay ay gudaha degmadaasi soo galeen Ciidamo ka tirsan dowladda Kenya kuwaasi oo maalmo ka hor kasoo talaabay Xadka ay Soomaaliya la wadagto Kenya.

Kornel Axmed Max’ud Cabdi Carab oo ah afhayeenka Ciidamada dowladda KMG Soomaaliya ee degmada Ceel-waaq oo la hadlay Idaacadda Shabelle ayaa waxaa uu sheegay in saacadihii u dambeeyay degmadaasi ay soo galeen Ciidamo farabadan oo ka tirsan dowladda Kenya kuwaasi oo uu tibaaxay inay wataan diyaarado dagaal iyo gadiidka gaashaaman.

The`Republic wrote:I am done with surface pseudo-nationalism bro. Pragmatism over emotionalism. Somalia has nothing to offer our region, but Kenya is a new start, a working system, some accountability, and an established legal, political, and social order.

Somali lands are already part of Kenya and they have peace, security, and development and most Somali refugees have sought safety there. Joining them is the most practical step but the question is will Kenya be brave enough to claim its lost territory in the Jubbaland province? I hope so, but still they have finally crossed the threshold of being involved in the land. This is a major step and an important battle in the war concerning eventual federation. We will keep hope alive.

Non-Jubbalanders, you have no opinion about this. We are running away from you. Inshallah, bi idni laahi kariim Jubbaland will one day become a province of the Republic of Kenya.

Murax, wallahi I am not joking bro. This is a sincere dream of mine. I don't even really like many of the underpinnings of Somali culture and society, I can't ever imagine such a retrograde, Somali majority identity can be good for our regions. We need access to the civilization that is Kenya.[/
