Do you count Somali?
If you don't have a passport and since there is no system to have us registered can you be considered to have Somali nationality?

No. If it's appropriate though, I do mention I'm ethnically Somali. "Where you from?" is much more annoying imo.

I am talking about on an officially capacity. Would you be lying by saying you don't have Somali nationality?

Offtopic but i just love being Somali sometimes. To a lot of people our ethnicity is obscure, when a nice girl asks me about my nationality i tell her i have a Brazilian mom, an Egyptian grandmom and an East African Father

If you had an equally obscure name you could totally get away with that even on job applications etc, tick other

I tick other regardless. I always want to avoid being discriminated with the whole race thing. My backup is, even if i was asked about it i could always argue i believe Somalis are a unique race who don't fall under Black Africa

Apparently they don't look at that part of the application when making a recruitment decision

I would love to have a Somali passport but I can't hold a dual nationality

Its for statistical purposes but more times it's just unnecessary paperwork. In some places there are campaigns to get rid of it.

Being that I wasn't born in Somalia, and Somalia has no Gov I probably don't even have Somali nationality. Still though every American asks Me 'Where are You from originally' even though I have no accent. Next time I'll just say Wtf, I'm originally American, whats 'original' supposed to mean?
