'If you get an A or B you'll go university, if you get an F you'll just join Al-Shabab'.

Masha'Allah, if only she was a Muslim. We need more Africans like her, not Ayaan Xirsi/FGM activists.

She talks about Somalia and Sland from 8 mins, and again at 35mins and onwards about Sland private education system(masha'allah to Sland).

How do we curb the unemployment rates of our youth(which the underlying cause of them joining militias, Shabab and tahriib)?

Reason South Somalia is at war is because over 50 clans and over 50 interests appear here....unlike the north where 2 clans live (darood/dir).
The jareer is arrogant, non somalis should really butt out of Somali issues (this excludes those that have lived in Somalia for some time)

This reminds me of a famous reer Xamar maahmaah: Cimrigaaga raagey geel dhalayaana waas ku tusaa. I never thought I would live long enough to see an educated African or Somali sister! Now that has this come to pass, I can safely say I have seen it all.

:snoop: :MJ: I couldn't have put it better. So many drop-outs and thug-wannabes suddenly find religion. Mashallah, I don't need to be a doctor, engineer, lawyer etc. to go to heaven. All I need to do is wear a knee-high khamiis, pimp my sister out to Abu-Tyrone Ibn Bilaa-Prospects and call everyone who doesn't agree a kaafir.

Why does the Somaliland leadership fight for recognition by the international community ? what is there to gain from it when you're already independent from Mogadishu.

adali recognition brings us membership into the world community and access to investment and development. at the moment we're slightly worse off than cuba, iran and other recognised yet isolated nations

Don't think recognition will boost Somaliland economy, it will only put the region on the IMF radar, why cripple yourself before you're able to even walk. There are regions in far worse situations than Somaliland economically, take for instance Bavaria, albeit being one of the many federal states in Germany, they are forced to pay for debt incurred by Nazi germany, other German federal states and other EU member states, who is behind this ? none other than the IMF.

Why go looking for them, sooner or later they will come looking for you when they see that you're doing well and they want in on it.

Alshabab was always a literate and educated movement. Her reasoning is flawed.

Your talking about the people at the top. Shabab is dominated by footsoldiers and commanders(aged 15+). They have no education whatsoever except a few lines their teachers taught them.

But there is no proof they wouldn't have joined alshabab if they were educated or got an a. There are a lot of factors affecting or contributing a person joining an organisation. I am yet to see research of facts. Fock what sum African loser said.

Haters gonna hate.

Anyways she said it's a joke/saying in Kenya, we're talking about Sijuis and Kenyan muslims, not Faraxs in Bosaso/Hargeisa/Minneapolis that joined Shabab for Islamic/social/Nationalistic reasons or maybe because of unemployment.
