The tomb of Sheik Abdille Hassan AUN , the father of Sayiid Mohamed Abdille Hassan, referred as the Mad Mullah by the British, he established the Dervish State in Somalia that fought the 20 year colonial resist against British forces.
A priceless experience to be in this historic city! — in Taleex, Somalia.

How come Somalis let things go to waste........

Are there any surviving structures in Somalia today ? What has happened to the synagogue in Berbera ? Church in Merca/Brava

nope. Somalis come from a pagan lineage. You never read those books of gaalo traveling throughout Somalia in the 1800s. Women used to have their breasts exposed. Men did not know how to even pray. Richard Burton wrote that he was welcomed by our ancestors so that he could teach them how to pray in the 1850s.

somalis just called themselves Muslim. They pretty much knew nothing about Islam.

Legend has it there are heritage sites all over Somalia. Ruins of an old civilisation in Amoud (north Somalia), Ajuran castles can be found dotted everywhere in the south, rubble of coastal towns from Kismayo all the way to Cape Guardafui etc

:usure: and why would this burton if those Somalis didn't know how to pray, teach them?
surely he could've taught them his religion, if those 'somalis' had no idea about theirs.
