Sewing needles were first used to make clothes in the area of Russia 30,000BC. Clothe-making didn't originally come from Arabia. There is no point going back to a selective origin if you're not going to go the whole way. Cultures were absorbed by people and things were shared, but once it's embedded into a certain people's culture—it becomes theirs as much as the person they picked it up from. Cultural appropriation however, is taking something like the Baati and marketing it for the consumption of white people only to dispose of it later.sahal80 wrote:Come from arabia, not an original somali dress!
