Somali civil war has gone through different dimension, i dont think anything will change in 2016, Amisom will still be there and shabaab will still be a threat and Somalis will still hate each other to the bones., u very optimistic if you think in 2 years time the civil war will end in order for the civil war to end we have to have a winner we still have no clear winner. AMISOM-SFG will be the winner of the war. I believe once Godane and his circle are found and executed, the group will disintegrate. Al Shabab is the only factor here. Al Shabab are no more than 2,500 people

Somalia still has a long way to go to reunify but conflict and combat with opposing sides will be done once Shabab is gone

But it will take 5-8 years after Shabab's defeat to reunify the south and hold nationwide elections and have stability

Another 25 years for institutions to be built and a strong government created.

Somalis must strengthen government institutions. Its the only way to avoid anther conflict. No one will go to war when instiutions are strong

We are just getting started who said its going to end any time soon as long as Shabaab is there and the AU troops are there and the Tribal minded Somalis are there a sectarian war is brewing in Somalia, and corrupt leaders trying to make a living , the Diaspora are also fueling it to both the sectarian and the Tribal dimension of the war , but the question is not when will the civil war end how will it end who is going to be on top who will win the Islamist the Damuljadiids protected by the AU the Somalis who are fighting for larger autonomy and who will end up in the seat. I predict in 2016 another Hassan will come to power he will come to power by buying of the MP and maybe Foreign hands will be involved qatar or other hairy arabs to bring their man Somalia. A group will emerge and they will try to make money out of the misery Somalia has become a mashruuc of NGO and Somali diaspora who want to make a quick buck. The conflict feeds allot of families in uganda burundi Ethiopia Djibouti. The neighboring countries in particular IGAD states have allot of interest that the conflict rages on. Both Somalis and Foreigners want the conflict to continue for their interest that is the truth.

The sacad had the chance under General caydiid if they only managed to make peace with the Abgaals , The Mudulood had to compromise for the sacad because Mudulood led in 1960s , Sacad could have used a friendly gesture towards the Mudulood, or other ways to consolidate their grip on the land. The Sad part is Somalia would be a proud nation if Caydiid led it a man whith balls who had the arrogance in him. But His kin did not respect caydiid defeated all Hawiye enemies with in a few weeks, but his toll could not give him the benefit of the doubt the larger told i mean The Hiiiraab.
