The hypocrisy of the west is amazing. everything he said about the Ukrain applies to SOMALILAND...kulaha...

"What we want is for the Ukranian people to make their own decisions"

What about Somaliand who have made their own decisions over two decades ago?

nor has their been a systemic violence against ethnic warsangali, Dhulbahante, Samaron and other small clans in Somaliland

Hypocrisy at its finest. But i don't blame America, Somaliland has to give the world a reason to recognise it, other than this democratic bullshid. Realpolitik dictates states pursue their own interests, Somaliland therefore has to become more marketable. Look at the PRC, for almost twenty years the major western powers did not recognise them. But China focussed on developing their economy and sure enough the world was knocking at their doorstep. Obviously Somaliland does not have the same resources available to them as China does, but the fact remains we have to exploit our natural resources, develop our sectors and provide investors and foreign interests with a reason to push for Somaliland's recognition.
