Medieval Horn of Africa

Post by Caesar »

I see Adel ( which extended to erigaavo, canfaar in the north and harar etc)

I see Dewaro which is Jaarso

I see Ifat which is Dir

And Bale which was Dir

but what was the rest of Somalia doing at that time :?

I see a vast nothingness, I mean I know Adel used to run the entire Somalia but still 8-)

Again , the Ethiopians class gurgura as Oromo as well other dir clans as 'oromo' due to their bi lingual ties , dire dawa is mine  what people write on a peice of paper doesn't change the reality , idgaf about Afars , a united strong adel ruling everyone just like in the past , u mad

The Ajuuraan ruled most of the south from about 1420 until 1680 or so, Adal had hegemony over most of the north, probably including Bari, though Adal did not directly rule the north, there were lots of powerful Garaads and small Sultanates who ruled independently or semi-independently.
