Totally different situation. Biyomal land in Juba's is not controlled by a qabil but by Alshabab. Also Biyomal in middle and lower Juba voted to be part of Jubaland because they are dependent on Kismayo fo their economic activities. Biyomal also knew that Darood would never take and inch of their land, I can't say the same for Hawiye who love bullying smaller qabilsAbdiWahab252 wrote:Lol. Biyomal should also double their efforts to free their land in the lower and middle Jubba
Last time it was your grandfather they burned alive. Who is it going to be this time?AbdiWahab252 wrote:Lol. Biyomal should also double their efforts to free their land in the lower and middle Jubba
You think that two decades is a long time?? The people whose farms HG own now in Lower Shebelle are still alive and well. How do you expect them to just give up on their land?? Biyomal are a somali qabil, thus there will never be peace in Lower Shebelle untill their land is given back.GeoSeven wrote:Why do Somalis insist on impracticality? Habar Gidir is't leaving Lower Shabelle, why on Earth would they.
Besides, as unrealistic as it may be, in order to even remotely contemplate the dislodgement of Habar Gidir from the Lower Shabelle through force or substitute, you would need to an extent, the collaboration of the other Hawiye clans and that's not going to happen.
Throughout the Cold War, the US supported various dictators because they were more advantegous to US interests as opposed to the alternatives. They reasoned that that a said dictator "may be a bastard but at least he’s our bastard”. In the case of the Lower Shabelle, the Hawiye viewpoint is that "HG are bastards but they're our bastards". Unsympathetic perhaps...but it's sound rationale if you ask me, from a political perspective of course.
Alright, that viewpoint might not be entirely be true![]()
....., although the notion that HG would somehow be dislodged from Somalia's Eden after two decades is still unrealistic.
I wasn't talking about justice, just that the fighting won't end because biimaal are a qabil and will continue fighting forever. Somalis do not give up easily. That is all. Of course no HG is going to go back to galgadud and mudug, they have been eating mango and drinking its juice for too long, hada wa ay raxeesteenGeoSeven wrote:^ Ethical stances can be subjective...more so to some folks![]()
theGoodshephard...look, I won't condone wrongs but lofty notions of justice and related principles aside, the reality is that HG trekked to the region two decades ago, an entire generation of Iljeex were born there. If you want to solve dispute, be practical and forward a more viable solution instead of calling for the eviction of tens of thousands.
