2- Assad won 88.7 percent of the vote in Syria’s
3- Sisi Wins Egyptian Election with 96% of the Vote,
4- Ukraine's presidential election.
5- somali presidential election

why isn't puntland election in the list? 1 clan had 90% of the voters whereas somalia election every clan was equal

Puntland's system isn't exactly democratic, it's more like a feudal republic, with basically a couple dozen grandees being the only people with the right to vote on who is president.

Somalia's system is pretty much the same, un-elected "clan representatives" voting on who is president.

If the general public can't cast a vote directly, it's not a democratic process. Not that that means anything exactly, North Korea is technically a democracy, except there's only one candidate, no secret ballot, and you better vote for him or they kill you :lol:

The Egyptian election was a farce, that's a real tragedy there how democracy has been set back decades :(

And even those 3 parties are not permanent, once in every 10 years new political parties can compete with the existing national parties. top three winners get the legitimacy to be national parties for the next 10 years. its one of the best democracies in the world. somaliland people choose not just their leaders but they can also eliminate any low performing party even the ruling party it self.
