For those of you who find the idea disgusting, would you change your mind if there were incentives offered for marrying your cousin? This is primarily for the guys but the ladies can contribute too. For instance, say you have a rich elderly aunt/uncle who's soon to pass who wants you to marry their daughter to keep the wealth within the family. Would you do it? Before you ask, assume this cousin of yours is a first cousin.

Cousin from father side is very disgusting and not practiced by Somalis. However, I have seen dozens of guys who married their cousin from mother side.

Noted. Rich girls are fancied and as such, she'd probably have loads of suitors lining up. Each one of them probably eying for the wealth. If you could've stopped this wouldn't you? Just because you do it doesn't mean you're doing it for your own personal gain. Maybe you'd be doing for her and her siblings if she has any.
