Hawdian Come in
Since Salahley/South Hargeisa folks are your closest neighbors can you explain what Faysal Ali Waraabe is exactly playing at? trying to select Musa Bihi as
the UCID candidate for presidency since he is about to be kicked from Kulmiye replacing Jamali Ali Hussein? I think this will bring a huge backlash from
UCID supporters if true. The upper side for UCID if this happens is they will have more supporters however the downside is also the same they will lose
a significant support base (The Salahley/South Hargeisa constituency) which is good for WADANI.

Re: Hawdian Come in
MrPrestige,
No one can oust honorable Mujahid Muse Bihi from his own party but if the two sides decide that they can no longer work together, Bihi is not ousted but rather taking his half elsewhere.
Faisal says whatever he wants but Jamal will not be replaced by Bihi. Bihi is great Mujahid and Isaaq unionist and he is great asset but one HA brother will not replace another HA just to get one step further. No doubt, the Sacad Muse is one of the most important Somali community and heavyweights all over the Horn (particularly SL, Djibouti and even Ethiopia).
The Isse Muse folks are not thinking and don't use their strategy as the key entry to Somaliland's entire revenue (85% of SL entire budget comes from Berbera).
Faisal Ali Warabe is comedian and we love him for that. Cidagale never takes him serious and Cidagale is busy building mansions in Hargeisa rather than dwell on political parties. The ones empty Calamadaha are today a city of its own rights with double storey mansions filling up behind Ambassador, Airport and Star hotel.

Cidagale is the one that impressed me the most in recent years. In the past politics and culture of warrorism has put them behind so today their main focus is development at community and grassroot levels rather than politics and pushing others around (no more violent Cidagale)
Waddani will gain nothing from the Kulmiye rift. Waddani has no agenda, plan, ambition or drive beyond Irro's pocket and few guys pointing "bal habarta kale eega waxay haysto iyo waxay samesay".
They need a new game and total rebranding. Image is important and right now even HY is no on board with such lame party that doesn't see beyond "Irro is nice guy" and that he needs assistance and the habar scale.
They do not impress me at all.

Re: Hawdian Come in
Interesting analysis sxb. I also suspect it is just fearmongering Jamal Ali Hussein, it is Faysal's way of telling him to step up. That is some good looking
modern double storeys, their side of Hargeisa is properly one of the best looking districts in Hargeisa. Where do they acquire such wealth though? Hargeisa
airport revenues?
I disagree on the WADANI part, WADANI has alot to achieve from the weakening of Kulmiye it is already the strongest opposition party without little
effort they have numerical advantage afterall, it will mean comes the elections there is no serious challenge to them. It is a easy ride to victory. I
welcome the dismemberment of Kulmiye

Well if you count Ina Kahin. The rest are behind Siilaanyo, so it is a tricky situation. I don't think Kulmiye will ever be as united as before that is
if it survives the same destruction as UDUB.

Guray is right
The Burco community love him
http://www.qarannews.com/?p=47015
Muse is a mr no nonsense he is a man of discipline,
The most anti Muse in the cabinet are actually non HJ
the wasakhgali minister of defense cadami
The minister of guryenta dhulos
The minister of justice Caydiid Arab
The minister of finance samaale sacad muse
And Xirsi , Xirsi believes if siilaanyo steps down his influances will diminish its in his interest to have Siilaanyo in office in another 5 years and the vp he also is scared to lose his seat if siilaanyo does not run.
The minister of minerals is a great supporter of Muse
It doesn't matter who wins in the elections what matters in the next elections 2015 that the elections are transparent and peaceful and fair, we need to move SL to the next level allot of work ba ino hadhay

Re: Hawdian Come in
Faisal is a funny man and I doubt he even understands his own head but Faisal is not an Eidagalist. He does not promote Cidagale or Cidagale agenda on others. He is a genuine man who just happens to be from that family. He is an Isaaq unionist and that's why more Isaac are comfortable with him than others. He does not win enough votes for the mere reason that he is not a state leader kind of guy. His agendas are no threat to any particular family.
Cidagale wealth comes from the Diaspora not airport.
In the next ten years their hood will become the biggest and the most developed area in Hargeisa...it will reach Ubaale.
Waddani does not have a bright leader. If Waddani is to win they need more charismatic leader who can go beyond the habar card. I can't think of any such HY at the moment but I know they exist.
Irro should retire in his oven (Berbera) and stop begging in the name of HY. He has no career in politics beyond 'elder in Parliament'.

Re: Hawdian Come in
Sultan faisal cali waraabe is a good man met him couple of times he is a Somaliland nationalist he cares little about sub clan issues non of his reer rooble guleed clan support him even
Faisal always set the walanweyn straight he says it like it is , he has that great superiority complex i loved how he said to the darood elders in Mogadishu sool iyo sanaag rag ba leh , eh maha jubooyinka cidna lahayn
The most funniest quotes, he insulted the kenyan foreign minister ninka magaca sharmuutada leh dalkayga waxba ka ma sheegi karo. He also said hadanu reer banu hashim nahay wadaado xamar ka yimi diin na bari mayan during the courts. Faisal has great ideas for Somaliland but in Somaliland he need a strong leader that can execute his plans a charismatic leader a politician.
Wadani has a good chance for the throne
They need to place Professor dhere aka Axmed xassan cigaale. he is a pan iidoorist and is well spoken charismatic leader he was born in Jigjiga he is ugaad cumar , he was the former SL ambassador to China,

Lol @ reach Ubaale, it probably will in the year 3175. You give Ciidagales too much credit lol
Somaliland politicians need to stop playing musical chairs and start addressing the issues facing the country. Low employment rate, lack of paved roads in the cities, tahriib, rapidly growing income disparity between the rich and the poor, inflation, poor medical facilities etc.

Re: Hawdian Come in
Hawdian I agree that Faysal Ali Waraabe is not a sub clannist but then again we don't know much about the man's past history, so he properly
has a good reason to be the way he is.
Cirro defeated the much loved Dr Gaboose for the support base of his constituency and that of the rest of Somaliland, to suggest he is not charismatic is
false. We have no evidence that Cirro is a undercover tribalist, I have never seen him attacking or crying for clan support. He is a stand alone guy that
is naturally supported by his people. Unlike some people he does not blow shani cans to rally for support
, we are fully confident in him and
NewHargeisa will get behind him.

Re: Hawdian Come in
Khalid,
I love Faisal Ali Warabe. He always cracks me up and May Allah give him long life like his uncle The Supreme Ayatollah Haji Abdi Hussein Yusuf (Haji Warabe). Amiin.
My favorite quote from Faisal is when he said: Preaching Somaliweyn in Somaliland is equivalent to the Priest preaching Christianity in Makkah
You are also right that Waddani needs to bring up the profile of man such as Ambassador Ahmed Hassan Eigale.
MrPrestige,
Irro has no ounce of tribalism in him. It is those behind him that I am most worried about and as a HY I condemn their habar-vision. They need to think grand and unify all Yeshaq and beyond under their fold rather than run things like back in the days of camel looting and Danod raids.
Methylamine,
Yes they are can get there and remember it doesn't necessarily has to be all joint buildings but the marking blocks, fencing, planning, etc. Right now these developments have past beyond the perimeters of the airport to the far south. These lands are going for as much as $15k per block these days. Five years ago they were $500.
We Isaxaaq need to follow good examples such as the Cidagale and develop Hargeisa all the way to Sabawanaag--Sheikh Aw Barkhadle (with Cidagale).

Re: Hawdian Come in
Hawdian, rising land costs is part of the issues the country is facing. These nice shiny buildings in Calaamadaha you speak of, who's living in them, locals? Don't think so. The fact that land prices in Calamaadaha increased by 3000% in the last five years is a testament to the lack of regulations and lack of inflation control. At this pace, there will be two distinct societies in Somaliland, the rich who come from the diaspora, and the poor locals who will become more and more desperate to break out of their social class. Whichever politician addresses this and the many other issues that I've mentioned before will get my support, irregardless of their party/tribe

Hawdian and who are those behind him? His biggest financier is Colonel Hussein Ahmed Farah a Sijui guy that owns Bluebird Aviation it recently
also started operations to Somalia. You can't possibly accuse a Sijui of tribalism
, anyhow even your eedo Fadumo Suudi the former minister in
UDUB is on board. I have never seen our constituency as this united before.
Most heavyweight HY tycoons are in Kenya and Uganda, that is why I protect our assets in Lower Shabelle it is for the greater good of the fam.

Re: Hawdian Come in
I dont think thats possible, muuse is not replacing jamaal but one thing is for sure many SA will defenitely vote for ucid if jamaal runs for ucid. i also disagree that muuse has no HJ supporters, infact many HJs prefer muuse over silaanyo including me. but the reality is its the kulmiye central commitee who have the power to select muuse or silaanyo as a candidate.
As far as i know both HJ and HA have 250 members each in the kulmiye central commitee, that means they have the same voting power. all he needs is to work very hard to gain the support of atleast 450-500 members then he can defeat silaanyo, he already have jaamac shabeel and kaahin behind him those 3 men control the whole party while silaany controls his ministers only.
