How much is gas in your area?
This morning as I was heading out, the gas station near my house was charging $1.40/liter
(That's $5.30/gallon for you Yankees). Looks like I'll be busing for one hour everywhere this summer

1/3 of it is taxes, the other 1/3 gouging. I dont know why gas is overpriced here even with the taxes.
Canadians are stupid. They don't stand up for themselves. Lol. You know the same car built in southern Ontario is cheaper when sold in the US than in the same city that the Toyota or Honda or Chevy was built in.

I remember it at 18 cents. Signal Hill, Longbeach, California, about 1963.

Re: How much is gas in your area?
Damn you Americans are lucky to get ~$1/liter fuel. We haven't had that in over a decade. To put it into perspective, reer Hargeisa are charged $1-$1.10/liter (I kid you not) for fuel that's most likely extremely inferior compared to the rest of the world. Europeans you guys get hit the hardest, but you guys have state of the art public transportation to compensate for that. Plus most vehicles there don't have an engine size that's over 2L. We have decent public transport inside the major cities but once you're in the suburbs it's hell if you don't have a car. And the average family car here has an engine size between 2.5-3.5L
Tuushi,
When the Canadian dollar was worth more than the US dollar, there weren't any augmentations to prices on consumer goods and we were still getting gypped at the pump.

I know.
Nothing is ever better on our side regardless of the dollar value.
